Through world war one most heavy industry was being utilized for the war effort and for this reason by the end of the conflict, tractors were a very rare sight.

Due to the obvious demand for tractors, Andre Citroën decided to enter the market with his very first tractor, the Citroën 1919 was aimed at the small farms and vineyards in France, one notable point was that the front gril was in the same style as the Citroën cars of the period and carried the same insignia.

It was only in production for 2 years and around 500 pieces were produced, these days only a very few remain.
